God Makes Beautiful Things

I just realized I only told you about the hard part of our trip to Florida, so I want to take a minute to share some of the beautiful things we saw while we were there.

These pictures were taken at Discovery Cove. The flowers are everywhere you look, and the birds are in an aviary you can walk through. You can touch and feed them if you choose to. (I chose not to. I must have forgotten to tell the bird who landed on my back and wouldn’t let go.)230edit

  1. There is a very beautiful thing that God made that you did NOT show a picture of….. ahem…

All I took pictures of were birds, flowers, and TRH volleyball. I promise. I didn’t even get any pictures of PJ at the ocean for the first time. Oh, and most of the volleyball pictures are garbage. But, I love you!

  2. These are simply beautiful. I just showed them to my 11-year-old, because she’s a bird watcher. I’m reading Crazy Love by Francis Chan, and i’m reading about how we as humans forget how utterly amazing God’s creations are. This huge tree in my yard? From a seed the size of a dime! The cows playing in my front yard (most people probably don’t see that every day). All of the flowers that just pop after the rain. Totally amazing and all for us. Thanks, friend, for posting such beautiful photos and reminding me to be in awe.

Florida was just so tropical compared to Montana, so I noticed all of the plants and the colors of the sand, ocean, and sky. Now that I’m home, I am trying to be more aware of the beauty here too. God really does awe-inspiring work.
